Alaskan Malamutes, also known as Alaskan dogs or Alaskan Malamutes, are native to Alaska in North America and are among the oldest Arctic sled dogs. These dogs are sturdy, powerful, and well-muscled with deep chests; when standing, their heads are held high, and their eyes convey alertness and curiosity, giving them an impression of being energetic and quite proud; they have broad heads with triangular ears that stand erect when alert; their coat is thick, with outer fur long enough to protect the soft undercoat; their coat colors vary, including gray, black and white, and reddish-brown.
